SULTANPUR: 28 people were hurt after a bus transporting pilgrims from Pune, Maharashtra, crashed into a divider in the boundaries of the Gosaiganj police station on Wednesday morning.
The injured were taken to the district hospital, where four pilgrims with significant wounds were later sent to Varanasi’s medical college, they claimed.
Ten other injured pilgrims are undergoing treatment at the district hospital while the remainder were discharged after first aid.
Gosaiganj police station SHO RP Rawat said the pilgrims were on their way to Ayodhya from Varanasi when their bus overturned after colliding with the divider at the Tatiyanagar intersection.
