Satyajeet Gupta, deputy commissioner of police (DCP) West in Agra said that a complaint in the matter was registered on December 12 at Malpura Police Station. The complainant said that his brother Kajim and brother-in-law Iqrar were kidnapped by three men in police uniform who barged into their home at midnight. They had come along with two others in a white car having Rajasthan registration number on it.
The matter came to the knowledge of Agra police commissioner, Dr Preetinder Singh, who ordered strict action. Thereafter, multiple police teams, including the special operation group, came into action to arrest the accused. The complainant was sent with the ransom amount to the location as stated by the kidnappers. Cops in civilian clothes, who were also present nearby, nabbed the kidnappers while the victim’s family was handing over the money to them, the DCP said.
