LUCKNOW: Governor Anandiben Patel said on Sunday that the Global Investor Summit would play a major role in turning Uttar Pradesh into a ‘Utkrisht Pradesh’.
Insisting that the summit was not just a formality, Patel said that the presence of President Droupadi Murmu and PM Narendra Modi during the three-day event indicated the seriousness of national leadership for the summit and its larger developmental economic goals.
The governor categorically congratulated CM Yogi for bringing global trade leaders, government and political leaders, academicians and economic organisations on a common platform.
Patel said that the state’s industrial climate has changed drastically under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and CM Yogi. She said that UP has managed to attain a new identity in the last six years.
“UP is now known for its good governance and becoming the growth engine of the country,” he said, terming the state as “Naye Bharat Ka Naya UP”.
The GIS, she said, was aimed to highlight the policy reforms done by the state government and pro-industry policies to attract investment in the state. The state, Patel said, was becoming a hub of various sectors including industry and education. “The state today has the desired infrastructure and a robust law and order,” she said, underscoring that the suitable industrial climate has attracted the industrial biggies to invest in the state.
