LUCKNOW: UP BJP chief Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary said on Sunday said that the BJP will achieve its goal of winning all 80 Lok Sabha seats in 2024 elections to make Narendra Modi the prime minister for the third consecutive time.
Addressing party workers during the state working committee meeting, Chaudhary attributed the leadership of Modi as the most vital reason behind India’s changing image on various global forums. “At the same time, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the government has been achieving new heights,” he said.
Referring to the recent losses in Mainpuri and Khatauli bypolls, Chaudhary said that the defeat has not dampened the spirit of the party functionaries who would bounce back with double force in the forthcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) and the subsequent Lok sabha elections in 2024. He said that BJP defeating Samajwadi Party in its backyard of Azamgarh and Rampur in bypolls was a clear message for the opposition that “Delhi was far” from them. He said that every BJP worker cherishes the dream of “Ram Rajya” and it was their hard work that made the opposition politically irrelevant.
The state BJP president castigated the opposition for hatching conspiracies that eventually led to prolonging of the civic elections. “Due to the opposition, the municipal bodies of the state have come under the administrative system. But, the BJP government will restore democracy in the bodies by holding the civic body elections soon, while respecting the judicial process,” he said.
He said that the opposition leaders who attained power in Uttar Pradesh by doing politics in the name of backward people have only done good to their families. “But the opposition parties doing caste politics have forgotten that the people of UP have rejected the politics of caste and nepotism in elections,” he said.
