LUCKNOW: Amid the speculations, that more than 10,000 people will visit the city in February for global investor summit, the Lucknow district administration on Friday, instructed hoteliers to block advance booking of rooms between February 9-13.
The upcoming three-day investor summit will be organized between February 10-12, for which the district magistrate Surya Pal Gangwar met with nearly 130 hoteliers (including above 3 stars and below 2 stars), owners or their managers and had discussion with them.
Meeting was attended by special secretary to the Chief Minister, Prathamesh, special secretary tourism Ashwini Kumar Pandey, additional district magistrate east Amit Kumar, designated officer Shailendra Singh and other departmental officers.
“Between February 9 to 13, rooms of hotels will be kept reserved. The district administration will soon release guidelines, as what will be the ratio per hotel for regular guests and those who will attend the global investor summit. The SOP of booking process as well as price cap will also be issued in coming days,” read statement issued by Lucknow DM office.
DM said, “All hoteliers have been advised to increase the number of rooms in their hotels. Necessary NOCs will be issued on an urgent basis. All hotels will have to update district administration about the status of their rooms via Google spreadsheets.”
“Further hotels will set up an InvestUP help desk. One person will be appointed from the hotel, and another nodal officer from the administration for the helpdesk. Along with this, brochures, pamphlets etc. related to all the policies of Uttar Pradesh government will be made available at the helpdesk,” he added.
The DM instructed all the hotels to get their staff trained and ensure that all the employees of the hotels should adopt a co-operative attitude for the guests.
He said that all staff of hotels must be trained in such a way that all the guests return to their country with immense satisfaction with our hospitality.
