PRAYAGRAJ: Panic gripped Mauaima and adjoining areas under the limits of Mauaima police station in trans Ganga pocket of the district after a body of a minor boy was recovered with his throat was silted and dumped near bushes.
The case came to fore when a group of children playing cricket spotted the blood stains and the body and informed their family members.
Upon being alerted, senior police officials along with forces rushed the spot and carried out investigations. The deceased boy was identified as Mohd Nazim, son of Mohd Kasim, a resident of Bahrana Khanpur village.
Mauaima police said the father of slain boy, Mohd Kasim, who works in a power-loom unit, was staying with his wife and children in a one room house at Bahrana Khanpur village.
On Monday morning, the father left the house for his work and his son Nazim also went for playing.
While playing with other children, Mohd Nazim all of a sudden disappeared and his body was later found lying in a pool of blood near bushes. Family members told police that slain boy was missing for past two hours since they searched for him .
The motive behind the killing is yet to be ascertained. Body has also been sent for post mortem. An FIR under 302 of IPC against unidentified person was also registered regarding the incident. No arrest has been made so far.
