LUCKNOW: Mystery deepened in the case of a class XII boy who was found dead on Saturday after a fight at a school in Gomtinagar as the autopsy report on Sunday, too, remained inconclusive.
The boy had died during the fight between two groups of students belonging to two different private schools in Vibhuti Khand on Saturday. He was found dead without any external injuries.
DCP (East) Prachi Singh said that in the autopsy report, the reason of the death could not be ascertained. The Forensic Science Lab (FSL) experts have advised to preserve the viscera for further investigation.
“The boy’s mother also told us about his medical history of having epilepsy which is also being checked,” she said.
The deceased’s grandfather lodged a case of murder against three students (all juvenile).
Meanwhile, the families of the accused refuted the allegations, saying that they were not at the site of the incident at the time.
Meanwhile, a police team reached the spot and questioned the locals. A couple residing in the locality told the police that they had heard students fighting and attacking each other with flowerpots.
“During the brawl, a student fell down on the road, after which, the students began to thin out,” they said.
Meanwhile, the body was handed over to the family and it was later taken to his native village in Gonda district. The deceased’s family demanded justice for the boy.
