AGRA: The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has decided to make entry free to all eight monuments, including the Taj Mahal, in Agra on November 19 to mark the beginning of World Heritage Week, archaeologist superintendent Rajkumar Patel said.
Patel to TOI, “The ASI is celebrating World Heritage Week, as it does every year from November 19 to 25, and all monuments, which cost a ticket, can be visited for free on Saturday.”
The ASI will organise a program on November 19 at the Diwan-e-Aam complex of Agra Fort. The closing ceremony will be held at the Panch Mahal complex of Fatehpur Sikri. There will be a cleanliness drive, drawing and painting competitions and quiz programs throughout the week.
