Lucknow: The war of words between the Samajwadi Party and its former ally, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), escalated further on Tuesday when a hoarding came up outside the SP headquarters in Lucknow stating that SBSP chief Om Prakash Rajbhar’s entry into the party office was banned.
The hoarding, which was brought down barely a couple of hours after it came up, left the SBSP fuming. The hoarding read: “Om Prakash Rajbhar Ji ka Samajwadi Party karyalaya mein aana pratibandhit hai (Om Prakash Rajbhar ji’s entry to SP office is prohibited)”. The hoarding carried a photograph of Rajbhar and an equally big picture of Ashutosh Singh, former state secretary Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha, who had purportedly put up the hoarding.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, who was in Jhansi on Tuesday morning when the hoarding came up in Lucknow, denied having any knowledge about it. “I have no information about it. I will not be able to comment on anything which I know nothing about,” he said when asked about it.
The SBSP was understandably infuriated over hoarding. Party’s chief spokesperson Arun Rajbhar said the SP is getting restless owing to the growing popularity of SBSP. He said the party leaders should check the acts of the party workers.
