LUCKNOW: Around 6,000 police personnel, including 24 IPS officers, will oversee the security arrangements at the event venues. Besides, three companies of Central Armed Paramilitary Force and 10 companies of PAC will be part of the security cordon along the routes leading to the Summit venue.
The security paraphernalia will remain in place for the G-20 meet as well, which will start the day after the summit concludes on February 12.
Commandos of the Anti-Terrorist Squad and Special Task Force equipped with night vision devices will remain deployed round-the-clock at sensitive pockets. Cyber cops have also been engaged for security at venues where events will be held. ADG, law and order, Prashant Kumar said a four-layer security system will remain in place. “We have established a control room near the main venue at Vrindavan Yojana for monitoring of the entire centre where the events will be held,” he said.
The ADG added that similar preparations have been made for events scheduled in Agra, Gautam Budh Nagar and Varanasi. Units of STF, ATS and special operation team of ATS commandos along with cyber security experts will also be kept on alert.
