LUCKNOW: The perfection during the street play ‘Honey trap’ and the fusion of culture fashion show performed by students at Shri Guru Nanak Girls’ Degree College during the first day of the college’s two days annual fest Abhimukh-2022 amazed everyone on Friday.
Students from as many as 39 degree colleges in the city participated in various literary and cultural events organized by the college.
Debate on ‘Is nuclear disarmament mandatory to achieve world peace’, showcased students’ clarity of thoughts on social issues whereas Mehfil-E-Awadh (Qawwali), Ghazal and group dance represented their confidence and talent.
Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia, who was the chief guest on the occasion, appreciated the performance of the students, and said, “Education plays a vital role in empowering women. Every girl should be encouraged to make their own decisions,” said the mayor.
College principal Surbhi G Garg said, “As many as 150 students participated in 10 events held on Friday which is a good number. Maximum participation was witnessed in story writing and debate.”
