VARANASI: Hearing was deferred in all eight cases that came up for hearing before the courts of district judge, civil judge (senior division) and ACJM-V (MP-MLA) on Monday.
While the court fixed December 19 as next date to hear the revision petition of the mosque management in the verdict pronounced on maintainability of the seeking right to worship the purported Shivling found in the mosque complex during a court-mandated survey on May 16.
The six petitions seeking rights to worship the purported Shivling will now be heard on December 21 and 22. The MP / MLA court will hear on December 22 the case against Akhilesh Yadav and Asaduddin Owaisi related to their alleged remarks on the purported Shivling.
District government counsel (civil) Mahendra Prasad Pandey said, “Following a condolence meet in view of death of a lawyer ,no legal work took place in the courts and new dates for hearing in cases slated for hearing on Monday were issued.” Hearing in revision plea filed before the court of district judge against the rejection of AIM (Gyanvapi mosque management committee) plea challenging maintainability of civil suit no. 712/2022 filed by Bhagwan Aadi Vishweshwar Viraajman through next friend Kiran Singh and others, seeking right to worship the purported ‘Shivling’ found in the mosque complex on May 16 and other reliefs by the court of civil judge senior division (fast-track court), will take place on December 19.
