LUCKNOW: The Lucknow unit of Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday attached properties worth Rs 10 crore owned by jailed former minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati and his family in Tiloi area of Amethi.
The ED had first lodged a case against Prajapati and his family members on August 4, 2019 under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.Sources in ED said that properties of the former minister in Sultanpur were also under its scanner. Prajapati was minister for mining in the erstwhile Akhilesh Yadav cabinet and his name had figured in the mining scam.
The ED officers reached Tiloi and Panchgaon in the presence of lekhpal and chakbandi officer . They first attached a land measuring 2,049sqm belonging to Prajapati’s son Anil and then they reached Amethi-Durgapur highway and attached a cold storage measuring 2,245 sqm in Sarvarpur.
