PRAYAGRAJ: Mauaima police on Tuesday claimed to have worked out minor boy murder case and arrested his uncle near Panpatti crossing while planning to escape from trans-Ganga area. The arrested person was identified as Mohd Hasim (25), a resident of Nai Basti (Mauaima).
The body of a seven-year-old boy identified as Mohd Nazim was recovered near field under the limits of Mauaima police station in trans Ganga pocket of the district on Monday afternoon. DCP (Ganga Nagar) Abhishek Agarwal told reporters that the prime accused was none other than real uncle of slain boy who had killed the minor boy to teach a lesson to victim’s family.
The accused Mohd Hasim told police that he had intentions to teach a lesson to his elder brother Mohd Kasim (father of minor boy) over property dispute. On Monday when he noticed the minor boy of his elder brother had left the house to play cricket, he managed to entice him on the pretext of giving guava and took him to a nearby field and slited his throat with a sharp edge weapon.
Police have seized the sharp edge knife which was used in the killing. Police said the accused along with his father was staying at their ancestral house and his elder brother along with wife were insisting them to provide their share of house. The accused said that he has no regret of killing minor boy. He admitted to have killed the minor boy in a fit of rage. TNN
