LUCKNOW: As part of the second phase of roadshows ahead of the Global Investors’ Summit-2023, a team led by industries minister Nand Gopal Nandi and PWD minister Jitin Prasada, met industry representatives from Belgium on Monday. Another team led by minister Jal Shakti minister Swatantra Dev Singh met investors in Australia while MSME minister Rakesh Sachan led a team to Dubai.
In Brazil, deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak and minister of fisheries Sanjay Nishad led a team of officials in Sao Paolo.
In Australia, the delegation held a roadshow-cum-conference. Singh met representatives of the New South Wales government and invited them to invest in sectors like defence, water resource, health and urban infrastructure. A video message from chief minister Yogi Adityanath was played at this meeting.
The team led by Nandi and Prasada was in Brussels in Belgium where they spoke about investment opportunities in sectors like textiles and garments, food processing, automobiles and electric vehicles, renewable energy, electronics, startups, pharma and chemicals, and waste management. Representatives of the Belgian Government, including Director General of Bilateral Relations in the Foreign Ministry of Belgium and companies such as Gemini Corporation NV, participated in the programme. The team also held an interaction with the Indian diaspora in Belgium later in the day.
Officials part of the delegation who held separate meetings with investors included additional chief secretary Navneet Sehgal, excise commissioner Senthil Pandian and secretary MSME Pranjal Yadav.
In Dubai, Sachan’s team met with Conares CEO Bharat Bhatia. In Brazil, Pathak and Nishad interacted with members of industries and the Brazil India Chamber of Commerce and invited them to invest in UP.
