LUCKNOW: After Dr Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, now Lucknow University (LU) has decided not to give winter break to its teachers this year to speed up the academic session 2022-23 that has been derailed by around five months.
“Teachers will also have to take extra classes if required to bring the derailed academic sessions back on track,” said LU spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava.
LU had begun its undergraduate classes last month while the classes of first-year postgraduate students started around a week back in some courses. The admission in some PG courses is still left which will be winded up by the university by the end of this week.
Earlier, LU used to conduct its first-year semester examination in December but this year due to delay in admissions the university will be continuing its classes in December and the first semester examinations are expected in February end.
