PILIBHIT: As many as 10 principals and managers of different private schools ranging from upper primary to senior secondary were booked by police on Sunday evening for their alleged involvement in a “scam worth over Rs 2 crore” in scholarships earmarked for students belonging to minority community.
As per officials on Tuesday, the accused school heads registered “fake students on the national scholarship portal (NSP) of the Union government and misappropriated the funds in collusion with the sham students”.
