VARANASI: The Ballia police on Wednesday arrested three prime accused in trader Nandlal Gupta‘s suicide case and also started the process for cancellation of the registration of Gupta’s land in the name of one of the accused moneylenders. The police have also collected details of the economic empire created by the moneylenders with illegally earned money.
SP Ballia Raj Karan Nayyar said, “One of the four teams engaged to arrest accused persons in Gupta suicide case succeeded in arresting three prime accused, Devnarain Singh alias Punna Singh, Ajay Singhal and Alok Singh, from Sidhaghar Ghat bridge in Rasda area on Wednesday. Cops seized a luxury SUV and four mobile phones from them.”
“With the arrest of the trio,” Nayyar said, “The number of arrests made in Gupta suicide case has reached six while raids are continuing to nab the other accused persons.”
