AYODHYA: In a veiled attack on the previous governments, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “Rule of law has been established in UP. Those who roamed like ‘dadas’ are driving carts with their heads bent low.”
Reiterating his government’s commitment towards establishing Ayodhya as a religious, vedic and spiritual city with world-class facilities, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that the double-engine government will turn Lord Ram’s birthplace into a global tourist destination depicting New India’s New Uttar Pradesh.
While launching as many as 46 development projects worth Rs 1,057 crore in Ayodhya and addressing the ‘Prabbhudhjan Sammelan‘ on Sunday, Yogi said, “Projects worth Rs 30,000 crore have been approved by the state and central government for the development of Ayodhya. The double-engine government is committed to the city’s all-round progress. The government will not only promote the religious, cultural and spiritual significance of the place but will also develop basic amenities for the welfare of the people.”
The CM, on the occasion, also distributed keys, cheques and certificates to the beneficiaries of various schemes.
Under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, a grand temple of Lord Rama is finally being built after a long wait of 500 years. India will also be seen leading the top 20 countries in formulating plans for peace, prosperity, harmony and public welfare under PM Modi,” said Yogi while addressing intellectuals representing different fields. “We must plan our strategy by visualising Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh and the country we aspire to live in 2047. We must discharge our duties as responsible citizens and must work for development,” he said. Highlighting the transformation of Ayodhya, the CM said that under the Smart City Mission, roads are being widened, dangling wires have been removed and basic facilities for the convenience of the citizens are being provided.
In addition, along with a safe city, proper bus stations are being developed. “Before 2017, Ayodhya remained submerged in darkness. However, today, the city is illuminated by LED lights and regular and uninterrupted supply of electricity,” said the chief minister. The double-engine government turned Ayodhya into a municipal corporation. The Ram ki Paidi has been developed as grandly as the Har ki Pauri, added the CM. The CM said that along with development, Ayodhya is also bringing possibilities for investment. In UP, 45 lakh new houses have come up in rural and urban areas, including 17 lakh in urban areas, and 8.62 lakh in rural areas. One lakh houses are being made available through the CMAY.
