KOLKATA/LUCKNOW: UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Friday that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the UP government was committed to realise the dream of ‘Arth Ganga‘.
“We are committed to the conservation of the Ganga and its tributaries,” he said at the meeting of National Ganga Council in Kolkata on Friday. “There is growing faith in the concept of economic development linked to rivers,” he added.
“Due to Arth Ganga, people now feel more emotionally connected with water and the river. They are now more confident about the economic development through rivers,” he said. The CM visited Fort William to see barrack where Subhash Chandra Bose had been kept captive by the British. He also visited the Army Museum and offered floral tributes to Netaji and other martyrs.
