GORAKHPUR: Emphasising on quick redressal of public grievances, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday warned police officials against laxity in filing FIRs and directed them to take strictest action against criminals.
Addressing grievances of nearly 600 people at the Janata Darshan organised in Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Auditorium in Gorakhpur, the CM directed officials to handle problems of complainants seriously, sensitively, and expeditiously.
He said, “There should be no laxity in registering FIRs, strictest action should be taken against criminals.”
The Chief Minister also instructed the officials to ensure that every complainant’s issue was treated impartially and to his satisfaction. The CM also assured a family of appropriate action in a complaint about a boy found dead who went missing for more than four days and directed SSP Gaurav Grover to take immediate action into the matter.
The CM offered chocolates to kids who came with their parents for Janata Darshan and inspired them to study.
Earlier on Tuesday, after offering prayers at Guru Gorakhnath, the Chief Minister also performed ‘Gauseva‘. He fed the cows and calves gram and jaggery on visiting a ‘Gaushala‘.
