BAHRAICH: The mutilated body of a 12-year-old boy, who had gone to collect wood, was found in a forest under Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary in Bahraich on Wednesday. The boy was attacked and killed by a leopard.
According to reports, Meraj (12), son of Ibrahim, a resident of Majra Baksigaon of Madhavpur Nidhauna under Rupaidiha police station, had gone to collect the firewood in the forest when he was attacked by the leopard.
Later, his body was recovered from the forest, confirmed divisional forest officer (DFO) Akashdeep Badhawan. This is the second incident of leopard attack in the last one week.
