KANPUR: A video of a married woman hailing from Jajmau area is going viral on social media. The married woman in the video has accused her cousin and mother of holding her and three children hostage since November 16, 2022.A complaint has been filed in this regard at the Jajmau police station.
The Chakeri police said that the matter is being investigated. According to information, Shariq Zafar works in an online food supply company. He told that he was married to one Nausheen Farah, a resident of Sheetla Bazar, Jajmau. They were blessed with three sons, among which the eldest son is 10 years of age.
He further alleged that after the death of his father-in-law Aftab Alam, his mother-in-law Nargis misled his wife and sent her and their children with her sister’s son Fardeen Akhtar alias Ranu, to some unknown place on November 16, 2022. “His wife had also taken jewelery along with her. During all this, he was not at home,” he said.
On coming to know about this, On Nov 18, the matter was reported to the police, he said and added, “But, the police did not pay heed to his complaint. The cops kept on saying that she will come on her own. After this, on Friday, wife Nausheen Farah somehow met him and told him that her mother had held her and their children hostage.”
Jajmau police station in-charge Ashok Dubey said that a complaint has just been received. “Action will be taken after the investigation,” he added.
